No doubt if you are a business yourself your own social responcibilty mandate highlights the need to work in partnership with the communities in which you operate.
This then is a chance to really make a difference with a part of your community that needs your help. DRAGON is about equal opportunities in all areas - understanding recruitment, promotion, development, building life skills and confidence, being creative and preparing for 'the real world' - it's about working as one team supporting and trusting one another, and recognising and respecting individual contributions. Our aim is to ensure all St George's students enjoy all aspects of work, celebrate success and learn from experience. Our hope is that DRAGON will give our school leavers real and valuable work experience, particularly in the tourism sector, and that this in turn will give them hope that they can become valuable members of our community and indeed succeed in the work place...........perhaps even in your work place!
DRAGON is a totally unique idea, we have the support of the County Council and now you can actively and publicly support it too. Publicity comes easily for such a worthy project and sponsors will undoubtedly do well out of being associated with the scheme.
All zone funders/sponsors will be credited for their support and be given the opportunity to promote their own business'/attractions at the DRAGON centre.
How can you help?......... Easy!
- You can fund or part fund a particular scheduled zone.
- You can supply materials for a particular scheduled zone.
- You can send workers to physically work on the project with the students. (Great as a team building exercise).
- You can come to the school, speak to the students and offer advice.
- You can work with students on creating your own zone from scratch (perhaps one that relates to your own business).
DRAGON is to be embedded ito the St George's school curriculum, the school is for children aged 12 - 19 with many complex learning difficulties including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
DRAGON has four zones already in place, they are.....

- Living classroom.
- Sensory dome.
